                   Daily Mail and General Trust plc (`DMGT')

                       2006 Executive Share Option Scheme

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority (UKLA) and to the London
Stock Exchange for a total of 200,000 A Ordinary Non-Voting shares of 12.5
pence each to be admitted to the Official List.

It is expected that admission will be granted on Monday 24 February 2014.

These shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued
pursuant to the DMGT 2006 Executive Share Option Scheme.

When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing A Ordinary
Non-Voting shares.
